Dinner in Wauchula

The Bread Board is located right along US Highway 17S in Wauchula. A pleasant and friendly family restaurant that serves a nice breakfast, a great ruben sandwich for lunch and a nice variety of dishes on their dinner menu.

We had made plans initially with Rich and Dee for dinner. We saw them when we were in Orlando a few weeks back and had hoped to have them over when mutual friends from MeadowPointe stopped by. But between their shows and the bad weather it didn't work out. While visiting over at Torrey Oaks today we asked Stan and Sally to join us.
That's Sally, Rich and Dee on the left and Stan on the right with Rich and I. The Bread Board has an excellent soup and salad bar that goes with most dinner entres and tonight I think most all of us had something different. - Chicken Stir Fry - Pork Chops, Catfish or Lazagna....... The food the company and the conversation were great. I think we must have sat there for a couple of hours. I was a waitress many years ago and hated it when a party would monopolize a table for the entire evening. But tonight the restaurant was not real busy - and no-one was waiting for our table. And our waitress just kept re-filling our beverages.
Here we are outside after dinner, but not for long. The wind was blowing and the temperatures were dropping. But ... I love the way I can always get a great big smile from Stan for the camera, despite the weather!!! Rich and Dee - good luck with your table at Pioneer Days this week - we'll probably stop by! Stan and Sally - if not before - we will see you at the Heartland Senior Games on Friday. Posted by Picasa

  1. Hi Guys! Greetings from TT Medina Lake near San Antonio, TX. Nice to see the smiling faces of our friends in Florida. Spending a week here but doesn't look like anyone is playing pickleball unfortunately. :( We met a couple from Ohio while setting up but they have left already. Can't recall their names but they mentioned both your names when we asked about pickleball. They have two dogs Chubby and Chelsea, a St Bernard mix. Any word on pickleball at St Clair this summer? We'll be in Florida next winter. Take care.

Great to hear from you. We've met so many new people here in Peace River playing pickleball. Headed for the Heartland Senior Games in Sebring tomorrow and Friday - Not sanctioned this year so I (Donna) am not a referee. Pickleball tournament in St. Clair is scheduled for July 10th and 11th. We won't be there this year - but should be a good group. Take pictures and send them to me.
