Coach Mo Visits and Gives 2 day Clinic

When we vacationed in The Villages this past summer we met a very nice couple, Richard "Mo" and Jeanne Movsessian. Mo is a former 4.5 tennis players and a professional tennis coach. He and his wife now live in The Villages. He is one of the best pickleball coaches on the East Coast. Rich spent a lot of time with Mo getting some one on one coaching to help improve his pickleball game. We frequently had dinner with Mo and Jeanne and got to be pretty good friends. They would have liked to rent in Sebring for a month or so, but no rentals were available. So they decided to drive down one Friday and Saturday to visit and Mo said he would do a pickleball clinic on Friday and Saturday for the Tanglewood Pickleball Club members.

It was cold and rainy when we woke on Friday morning. Mo called mid morning and we met him and Jeanne at The Clock Restaurant for brunch. It was still raining pretty heavy, but we didn't cancel the clinic plans. Rich and Chuck Keller went down to the courts when the rain let up to see if they could get them dry before the clinic that afternoon. The weather report promised to be sunny by start time. And it was!!!
Here's Rich with Mo (center) and our friend Marcel, before the clinic gets underway.

As you can see, everyone is having a great time. There's Rich in the front row. That Marvin Strope and Judy Goldberge to his left. In the back is Louise Barrett (yellow jacket) Nancy Fair, Jeff Blackburn (almost hidden) Dennis Brock, Mo and Art Arvay.
This is me practicing what I learned at the clinic with Barb Thulin against the men, Charlie Morgan and Bob Hughes.
Friday evening Wayne and Lois Roswell joined the four of us and treated us to dinner at Homers Buffet. What a great place to eat. We ate and ate...........and Rich forced down about a dozen e-clairs, and talked for quite a while before calling it a night.

The clinic went without a problem again on Saturday, and a lot of the people who came on Friday came back just to watch the next day. Everyone had contributed $5 and we were able to give Mo and Jeannie a nice amount to help offset their stay and to thank Mo for coming. Mo and Jeanne liked Homers so well............that they asked to go again on Saturday evening and we did. Rich headed straight for the e-clairs!!! We must have sat and talked for close to 3 hours. I think the place was closing when we left.

Can't wait to see them both again this summer at The Villages.
