Torrey Oaks is a new RV resort just north of the Thousand Trails RV Preserve, in Bowling Green Florida. Jean and Garrett Mulder, who in the past have wintered at Peace River, parked their motor home at Torrey Oaks this winter. Jean was hired to teach and promote pickleball at the Park. On Saturday December 20th we headed from Sebring to Bowling Green with a pretty good group of players from Tanglewood for their 1st Annual Pickleball Scramble. We were sure to meet up with our friends from Peace River too!!
To participate in the scramble, the cost of admission was one dish to pass for everyone to enjoy after the event. And the food was excellent.

Beverly and Al Podgorski, (Beverly is one of the golden pickleball girls, remember?) made the trip from Sebring. This was their first competitive event.

Well everyone enjyed the food and company sitting on the patio. It was a great day. Not sure just how Jean kept score today. Rich didn't lose ONE game, but he didn't even show!! We love you Louann,,,,,,,,,,but you never won a game and ended up in second place!! Anyway here's a picture of the winners. Louann had already left when the picture was taken. This is sure to be the ONLY time you see me pictured with the winners and not see Rich!!! Jean, I think you better check your results.
