Hopefully this will be just the first visit with Ken and Lynn Corbett this summer. They recently relocated to Highland Lakes, an active adult community in Leesburg. We first met them over the internet, conversing about, what else? Pickleball. They started the group that plays in Greenvile, SC and Lynn kept their local website until they moved to Florida.
Friday night we met them at
Applebee's for dinner. Those under 550 calorie dinners are surely attractive!!! The Asiago Peppercorn Steak and the Spicy Shrimp Diavolo are both highly recommended! But tonight Rich decided to go for a few more calories and couldn't pass up the Southwest Jalepino Burger and some fried onion rings!!
But it's been a long time since we've seen these two and we had a lot of catching up to do. For some reason when we get together we can talk, and talk and talk. So they followed us from the restaurant back to our villa.
I put on a pot of coffee and Rich cut the FAT FREE Key Lime Pie and we talked and laughed and talked and talked for more than two hours! We wrote down the directions so they could find there way back to 27/441 South..........We made plans to meet them for pickleball at Highland Lakes at 2:00 Sunday afternoon!
Off to breakfast now with the group at the SonRise Cafe!!!
