It was about noon when we got to Peace River........and I don't have to tell you what the RV looked like after sitting for so many months!!!! Not only was it dirty, but the grass and weeds were high - where the mower could not reach, and the site was full of branches and twigs. So most of the day was spent cleaning! Lee and Jerry are already here, and Lee brought over his weed wacker ....... Buddy and Brenda are here too - parked back on the F row...........and they'll be spending the winter after a couple of weeks in Orlando in November. By 7:00pm we called it a day, showered and headed for dinner at the Pioneer Restaurant. Lights were out early that night!
Sunday morning was back to the pickleball courts. Buddy had the court swept by the time we got there, and then he and Rich checked out and adjusted the height of the nets. Chatted with Elnor for a little bit, and they are tired of all the weed wacking around the court, so she is putting down green indoor/outdoor carpeting in the grass/dirt areas around the courts. And you'll be glad to know that they have replaced the lights on the court.........We are going to try them out Monday evening, again with Buddy. It's just the three of us right now........but Buddy and I have been playing together against Rich and losing every single game!!!
As we were finishing up our Sunday morning games, Elnor came by carrying a BROOM!!! Laughing - she said she just received a phone call from A17, who said they could not get in because of a SPIDER. This was definately a first! As you can see below - the spider was very comfortable in it's web, at the peak of the roof, well above the door.
Buddy took the broom and removed the spider from it's nesting place, careful not to cause any harm to the small creature.
He ( or she) really is a beautiful spider. Will have to check this out on the website to see exactly what kind it is. Unharmed, Buddy took the spider down the road to a nearby tree - where it begin the job buidling it's web once more.
