Peace River Stroll and Pickleball under the lights

It really was a great weekend - The TampaBay Rays, down two games to the Texas Rangers, played like they have all year and took two games from the Rangers to bring the playoff games to a tie. The final game will be played Tuesday evening - so some of those programs set to record will have to be missed tomorrow. Back at the Trop in Tampa Bay - GO RAYS!!!!

This afternoon, Rich and I decided to take a walk along the River. You know we've taken this walk so many times - but it really is a beautiful trail............They staff here at Peace River has done a great job cleaning up the trail. Here are a few pictures I took along the way............For those of you who have not been here before - I hope you enjoy them.

Absolutely love this tree. This was one of Beau's favorite stopping places. This was one of his favorite walking trails.

Again for those of you not familiar with Peace River - As you walk this trail, you would always stop to see if Stumpy, the three legged gator was out sunning himself. It seems that no one has seen Stumpy since last season. But recently - a three legged gator was found 'dead' - a ways down the river.......Hope Stumpette is still here. Stumpette is a smaller version of Stumpy - also with just three legs.

After the walk , we just sat outside and enjoyed the day for a while before dinner. Then it was off to the courts to meet Buddy and Jack and Diane. Art said he might also come back tonight - but he didn't
make it. Maybe tomorrow.
We played again under the lights. But the mosquitos are terrible. We had not noticed it so much playing at night before - because we with just the three of us we were constantly moving on the courts. Tonight, waiting on the sideline, meant fighting off the bugs!!
Look who else is here!!! As we rode to the courts, we say that Pace Arrow parked in the B row and were sure it belonged to RICH AND DEE!!! Sure enough. It was about 6:40 when we arrived at the courts, and Rich and Dee had only JUST PULLED IN. But when given the option of having dinner, or playing pickleball .............they chose to join us for pickleball.
Ane here is Jack and the Happy Hour Queen - Diane, waiting to get on the court. Tomorrow we are playing in the morning. Time is set for 8:30 - but there is NO WAY that Rich and Dee will be there that early!

  2. Just found your site. I guess I'm going to have to Google Pickle ball, and also check out the Peace River CG. I've heard good things about it before.
