Update from the Kids

Dennis and Crystal always seem to be sooooooooooo busy, either with work, after schoold activities or sports with the kids, meetings, or just family adventures. That's what's so hard about living so far away.....you don't get to be a part of all of that unless it's via the telephone or internet. A typical e-mail goes something like this: "Gotta run, time is short now. We're going to the library to pick up a book, pick up Dalton from football, drop off stuff at the thrift store, and get dinner.....all in 1 hr 15 min. Guess it can be done. :)

Dennis is on the road a lot - lately for some fun stuff, but mostly for his job, and the latest took him for a week to VA. Crystal, loves working with the kids and when she's not with the Children's Council, she's off on some adventure with the Girl Scouts.

Dalton's football team at school is currently undefeated!!! He's preparing for the Lego Robotics Competition and for his Band Spectaculart Concert which should be any time now!! Crystal has promisted to TRY and get some pictures. If you remember, last year he took the prize for reading the most books during the year.........not sure if he's working quite as hard on that one this year or not.

In the meantime- Chauna is reading up a storm and trying for the first place prize this year. Mom, Chauna and the Troop took off a week or so ago for a "rained-all-night-long" campout. Here's a note from Chauna:

About two weeks ago, I went to Girl Scout camp. I had an awesome time. We went "frog catching" I caught a baby frog, we reired about 20-30 american flags and I got to keep two gramets from the flags, we cooked dinner on a dutch oven, and alot more! After we went to sleep the next morning when about 10 girls woke up, there was a mouse on the top of there cabin! They were screaming. Luckily, I didn't find a mouse . I had an awesome time but one thing I did want to do before I left or that I was hoping to do is go horseback riding.
Well, that's about all,
Love You,
Chauna
